This opening lecture launches the exhibit that tells Marion Mahony Griffin’s story: Illinois's first woman architect, her years at MIT, her early professional career in Frank Lloyd Wright’s Oak Park studio, her personal and professional partnership with her husband, Walter Burley Griffin, their years abroad in Australia and India, and her return to the U.S. and late career. The exhibit is open from Oct. 7 through March 12, 2017. Reservations for all of these programs are required, and can be made by emailing EHMprograms@elmhurst.org or online at elmhursthistory.org (in the Adult Programs section). Additional programs will be added throughout the exhibit’s run.
