"Heartbeats: The IZZAT Project” is a comic book created by a group of young South Asian women to spark an honest conversation about violence in the lives of women, including forced marriage, gender-based violence, racism, and patriarchy. The Honoring Our Heartbeats Tour bring three interactive events to Chicago on Jan. 21-23, including a free multimedia performance by the authors of the "Heartbeats" comic book. Complimentary copies of the book are available following the performance. Additional events include an issue briefing and training workshop for service providers.
