Hinsdale Orchestra to Appear at Cantigny Park

The West Suburban Symphony of Hinsdale returns to Wheaton’s Cantigny Park to perform music inspired by comedy, on the grounds of the park’s First Division Museum. The outdoor concert, led by Maestro Peter Lipari, features high-energy music from stage and screen as well as classics. The music ranges from Khachaturian's Masquerade Suite and Smetana's Dance of the Comedians to Schickele's 1712 Overture (PDQ Bach and the Monty Python theme song. The concert begins at 8 p.m., but the park opens for picnics at 6 p.m.; concert-goers should bring their own chairs or blankets. Tickets are sold exclusively through Cantigny Park, $12 in advance or $18 on concert day. Advance sales online, by phone, at the Cantigny gift shop, or at the Cantigny parking booth.
