The West Suburban Symphony, with world-renowned blues harmonica master Corky Siegel as soloist, performs in concert. Peter Lipari conducts. Titled “blues,” the concert includes Siegel’s own Symphonic Blues concerto for orchestra and solo harmonica, Jennifer Higdon’s blue cathedral, selections from George Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess, and other American music written in the latter 20th century. They may be purchased at the door starting at 2:45 p.m. on concert day, cash or check. Multi-ticket discounts are available for advance purchases.
