HERMAN’S HERMITS STARRING PETER NOONE COMES TO THE MAC OCT. 23    Multi-Talented British Sensation Noone Takes the Stage to Perform the Band’s Top Hits From the ‘60s and Covers of Some of Today’s Popular Pop Tunes   GLEN ELLYN, Ill. – McAninch Arts Center (MAC) located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage, presents Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone, Friday, Oct. 23. 7:30 p.m. The performance will feature Noone backed by a four-piece band performing some of their top hits of the ‘60s as well as covers of some of today’s most popular pop tunes.   At the age of 15, Peter achieved international fame as “Herman”, lead singer of the pop band Herman’s Hermits.The group’s classic hits during the sixties include, “Silhouettes,” “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” “Wonderful World” and “The End of the World.” Herman’s Hermits went on to sell more than 60 million recordings. 14 singles and seven albums went gold and the group was twice named Cashbox’s “Entertainer of the Year.” The performance will feature Noone backed by a four-piece band performing some of their top hits of the ‘60s as well as covers of some of today’s most popular pop tunes.
