Visit Fork Restaurant for Chef Timothy Cottini's seven-course Charity Beer Dinner and feel good that proceeds will benefit Chicago's Green City Market Link Card Program, which "provides matching funds for low income families to be able to enjoy fresh locally farmed products at the market," according to an announcement. Each paired with selections from some of Chicagoland's more storied breweries, the courses are: (first) apple and smoked trout salad, and fennel popcorn and sausage skewers; (second) pumpkin seed crusted scallops with a spiced kabocha squash puree; (third) citrus cured smoked salmon with a wheatberry salad; (fourth) a butternut squash and flan-Brussels leaf salad; (fifth) "Clams and Chips," featuring spiced poached clams, chickpea and fennel panises; (sixth) slow-roasted, spiced duck leg with a pumpkin and goat cheese grit cake; and (seventh) butterscotch flan with chocolate mousse, vanilla toffee and "Dragon's Milk" syrup. Call Fork to reserve a seat at 773-751-1500.
