Join us at Evanston's grand New Year's Eve celebration! 7 stages of music, magic, dancing and fun for everyone! Headliners include Jazz Violin master Regina Carter's Southern Comfort, Chèvere (featuring Evanston's own Howard Levy!), Corky Siegel and Chamber Blues, folk-pop songster (and local legend) Ezra Furman, Eddie "The Chief" Clearwater and his blues band, The Milwaukee Mandolin Ensemble, Gypsy Jazz masters Swing Gitan with Alfonso Ponticelli, poetry from Evanston's Rhino Poetry, surf rock and space oddities from The Ambassadors to Earth, North African grooves with DoumSound, Dennis DeBondt–The Sears Tower of Magic, a barn dance, some cool French-African Jazz with Yves Francois et Rocambu Jazz, and lots more. One badge admits you to more than 40 performances beginning with kid-friendly activities and performances, ending with Grammy Award-winning entertainment of all kinds. Special passes guarantee a seat for your favorite performers. All venues are located within two blocks of Raymond Park in central Evanston. Most are just steps from each other. Food trucks will be on Lake Street at Chicago. Afternoon children's programming at the Library at Church and Orrington includes Joel Frankel, Margaret Nelson, Michael Montenegro with a giant puppet, and Professor Marvel's Amazing Flea Circus. Showtime Tony The Balloon Man will be there too.
