Sisterhood, Temple Beth Israel presents "Fighting Sex Trafficking: The Jewish Community Takes a Stand." Donna Fishman and Julie Newman from The National Council of Jewish Women and the Jewish Coalition on Sex Trafficking, and Kaethe Morris Hoffer, the Program Director of the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation, will talk about sex trafficking in Chicago, and what Jews, as a congregation and as a community can do to fight against it. The program is open for ages 16 and over. Donations will be gladly accepted at the door - either travel-sized toiletries, gift cards and/or cash, to be donated to the Chicago Alliance against Sexual Exploitation. Sex trafficking is a form of modern day slavery that exists throughout the U.S. and globally. Call or go to the website for more information.
