Called the ‘Father of the Atomic Age,’ Einstein's work unveiled a universe with black holes, dark matter, and dark energy. Yet most people know little of Einstein’s views on religion or his disdain of materialism, racism, militarism, and nationalism. Consequently, his deeply held beliefs often conflicted with the science he pioneered. Professor Pangratios Papacosta of Columbia College shares the lesser-known side of a man who grew into one of the most influential figures of the 20th century.
