"I Never Said I Wasn't Happy" is a documentary exploring family politics created by Chicago painter and filmmaker Sara Peak Convery. The film, declared Best Documentary at the Black Earth Film Festival and Best Concept in Documentary at Red Dirt International Film Festival, is Convery’s candid personal examination of complex gender dynamics and her parents’ marriage. After the screening is a conversation with the director and DVDs are available for sale.
