Deborah’s Place celebrates 30 years of service to break the cycle of homelessness for women in Chicago with the 30th Anniversary Opening Doors Benefit. A cocktail party fundraiser at the Winter Garden at Harold Washington Library Center will feature a live auction. Gaynor Hall Patterson, Emmy-nominated journalist with WGN and CLTV, will emcee a brief program. Awards honoring outstanding partnership in the mission to end women's homelessness with be presented to The Northern Trust Company and Denis Pierce of the Pierce Family Foundation. The live auction packages include a behind the scenes experience at WGN and a dinner party at the Heurtley House, a private residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and signature cocktails will be available, along with wine and craft beer. The Mark Croft Band will perform live original and cover songs.
