Mozart wrote a concerto for oboe in C Major in 1777, and the following year he transcribed it to D Major for flute. A flutist AND an oboist are both convinced that their instrument is superior, and they both want the spotlight. A narrator takes us back in time to set the stage for the competition to decide which instrument is best suited for the music.
