“Clybourne Park” is a spin-off of Lorraine Hansberry’s classic “A Raisin in the Sun.” The play spans 50 years between each explosive act, with Act I set in 1959. The play begins with nervous community leaders trying to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act II takes place in the same house, but in 2009, and the predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification.
