St. Lawrence Episcopal Church is hosting a fall farmers market and craft event from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday, October 25th at 125 West Church St. in downtown Libertyville. Weekly farm market regulars will recognize many of their favorites in addition to other artists and crafters providing inspiration for gift-giving ideas with their homemade items for both the fall and winter seasons. On hand will be handcrafted jewelry, whimsical creations and paper goods by Jenny Sweeney Designs and the opportunity to pre-order a St. Lawrence exclusive, peace sign shaped fresh balsam wreath from McCluskey Tree Farm. Enjoy festive refreshments including locally roasted Hansa Coffee, home-baked goodies and visit the Nomad Pizza Oven truck manned by Jarad Batson. Jared's wood-fired brick oven turns out individual gourmet pizzas and is a crowd favorite at many local farmer’s markets. Local farmers will sell fresh produce, apples, pumpkins, gourds, honey and more. Gretta’s Goat Soaps, as featured on oprah.com, will be available for purchase, as will All About Appetizers, providing samples, dips, spreads, breads and other savory delights. This family friendly community event will include indoor and outdoor vendors rain or shine offering something for everyone. Supported by and among the performers at the all-day open mic stage is The Lake County Folk Club. Everyone is welcome to perform. Bring your kids, friends, instruments, appetite, Christmas gift list and enjoy the beginning of the holiday season. Contact Sue Montgomery.
