With the world urbanizing faster than ever, architecture seems like a discipline currently in overdrive. But the situation is much less simple than that, according to Chicago architect, Marshall Brown, who is representing the United States at this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale. Brown, whose practice marries a focus on architecture, urbanism and artistic processes, argues that despite the current speed of our world, architecture still has special relationships to slowness.
