The Illinois Science Council leads another hands-on workshop, this time on the scientific building blocks of chocolate, at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Led by Dr. Shelby Hatch, a chemistry professor at Northwestern University, and Melissa Tisoncik, a research and development specialist with Blommer Chocolate Co., these experiments include multiple chances to taste your handiwork. Also: a trivia quiz with prizes. Food and craft beers will be available to buy from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Attendees must be 21 or older. Registration is required, since space is limited.
