A special cultural program at the Copernicus Center marks the 75th year since Stalin’s mass deportations of Poles to Siberia. "Join us for a memorable evening of grace, honor and inspiration, which begins with a candlelight vigil, and will include prayer, performance and words to honor the fate that befell nearly 2 million Polish people," according to an announcement. All ages are welcome to this free event. A commemoration banquet at 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15, takes place at White Eagle Restaurant (6839 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Niles).
