Clive Staples Lewis, commonly known as C.S. Lewis, was a novelist, poet, academic, literary critic, essayist, theologian, and world renowned lecturer. He was one of the intellectual giants of the 20th century. This course explores the Irish author, his nonfictional work about Christianity, his fantasy series (“The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”) and his other literary works. One class session features a visit to Wheaton College's Wade Center, an internationally acclaimed archive of works and artifacts related to C.S. Lewis and his contemporaries.
