The smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages, this much-revived classic from the playwright of Private Lives, Noel Coward. The protagonist, Charles Condomine is a novelist, who has decided to conduct research for his next book, by inviting a medium to his home to hold a séance. He and his wife, Ruth, assume the psychic will be a fraud. Madame Arcati is certainly a funny and out-going character, but her connection with the departed is quite real. She summons the ghost of Charlie’s first wife, Elvira, but only he can see the apparition. What follows is a battle over Charlie by both women.
