Currently the oldest annual freshwater distance race in the world, this year’s race will mark the 110th year of the tradition. Nearly 350 boats will set sail from Navy Pier on their 333 mile journey to Mackinac Island, Michigan. Sailing enthusiasts from all over the Midwest will gather to witness this historic event and celebrate one of Chicago’s classic and most cherished traditions.
