The museum celebrates the holiday with fun for the family and an appearance by guest speaker Randall C. Dunn, head of school at the Latin School of Chicago. Music, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and a children's costume parade led by the World's Tallest Uncle Sam are also planned, all happening from 10 a.m. to noon. Then, the museum is open from noon to 4:30 p.m. for the holiday, with free admission for Illinois residents.
