“Contact high” surely will take on new meaning after you experience “Marijuana-Logues” writer Doug Benson’s hilarious stand-up show. Catch a whiff of the “Super High Me” star’s addictive personality at Lakeshore Theater, where he’ll hopefully unload material from his latest, “Unbalanced Load.” Oh, and no need to double-check the show’s start time; it’s 4:20 p.m., of course.

Goose Island Mild Winter pub crawl

There’s only one way to celebrate the re-release of a seasonal beer, and that’s with—what else?—more beer. Goose Island Brewing Co. is commemorating the renewed distribution of its Mild Winter red ale with a series of three Mild Winter Pub Crawls, the second of which happens Saturday in Lincoln Square. Get your drinking shoes on for stops at seven neighborhood pubs, starting at O’Donovan’s and ending at Bad Dog Tavern, with Wild Goose and the Bad Apple in between. To keep your thirst quenched, you get a sample of Mild Winter at each bar.

Terror in the Aisles 3

And now for some gory counter-programming to mistletoe and reindeer: Head to Portage Theater for the third Terror in the Aisles horror-movie marathon, screening three feature flicks alongside director appearances, film shorts and vintage movie trailers. The fun starts with the director’s cut of “Night of the Creeps,” a B-movie about the fallout of an accidentally released alien experiment, followed by a 10-year anniversary screening of “The Blair Witch Project” and the 1974 cult thriller, “Black Christmas.” Directors Fred Dekker (“Creeps”) and Eduardo Sanchez (“Blair Witch”) attend.

Repeal Day drinking

Raise a glass to your legal right to raise a glass at Custom House with drink specials honoring Repeal Day, the day the 18th Amendment was retracted back in 1933. Sip Prohobition-era drinks ($5 each), including Bathtub Gin Rickey (North Shore Distillery No. 11 gin, lime, soda and a candied lime wheel), the Presbyterian (Death’s Door White Whiskey, ginger beer and a lemon twist) and the Rock ’n’ Rye (Templeton Rye, vanilla syrup and Creme de Cerise). Soak up the booze with bar bites such as smoked trout with greek yogurt and apples ($5).

Look no further than the annual two-day Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Sale at Pulaski Park Fieldhouse. Browse holiday gifts from more than 150 creative crafters hawking DIY clothing, screen-printed posters, laptop covers, buttons, jewelry, ornaments and enough other wares to fill two whole gymnasiums (and then some!). Don’t miss the makeshift cafe of mid-shopping snacks and sips, including cupcakes from Tipsycake (1043 N. California Ave.) and an array of beer and wine. Need a ride? Get yourself to Division Street between Ashland and Hoyne avenues and hop a trolley. Stops include Greenheart (1911 W. Division St.) and Small Bar (2049 W. Division St.), selling $3 pints of PBR for the occasion. Trust us, this isn’t your school cafeteria’s craft fair.
