Mickey Mouse leads a street-lighting procession of more than 1 million bulbs along North Michigan Avenue at 5:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks display over the Chicago River (at Michigan Avenue) at 6:57 p.m. The day-long festival kicks off at 11 a.m. with live musical performances.
