A Taste of Vino
The wine bar craze has hit the 'burbs with this store-lounge hybrid. After the city changed some of its liquor laws in 2006, owner Tanya Hart converted part of her retail space into a friendly spot that welcomes both wine beginners and wine snobs alike. Hart offers a rotating selection (between 14 and 18 options) of wines by the glass. Try a free sample before for ordering -- they're available by the glass, half-glass and flight. Or, you can select a full bottle from the shelves, and after paying an additional corkage fee, settle down at one of the tables. The shop also offers an off-the-beaten-path selection of high-end beers and an array of meats and cheese if you're feeling peckish.

On a recent Friday afternoon we were the only people in the place. Cheese sat at the bar, obviously for people at the bar to enjoy, yet no one off...
