This place is a must-visit, particularly on Thursdays when they feature their Short-Ribs... the ONLY place you're going to find this very special lunch treat.

Old Timer's is cool. It's one of those rare undiscovered dives right in the Loop. The bartenders are a bunch of hardened-seen-it-all-type-of-women who add to the relaxing, yet odd, vibe. Many different types come here. Tasty snacks, with lots to choose from on the menu. Diner style. Worth checking out.

Unreal range of people from Celebs to construction workers. A fun cheap place even into a late night (it's open until 2am Mon. through Sat.). I like the place because you can come in for 1 beer and wind up stuck chatting and drinking as everyone buys eachother drinks until your in trouble with the wife because you didn't get home on time! The food is solid american fare and the bartenders have your fun in mind. It's a good place all the way around and you'll get sucked into the regulars Cheers type atmosphere wether you like it or not!

I stumbled across this place after a couple of days in Chicago whilst looking for somewhere that served a good old fashioned breakfast. If you are looking for the same then this place is ideal. It is inexpensive and the service I received over the 4 times I visited was excellent and the food was quickly delivered. The reason I went in? It looked busy and I can see why.

My family and I were so happy to stumble upon this place for breakfast on our first day in Chicago. We were seated immediately and waited on just as quickly. Our waiter was friendly, fast, and knowledgable about the area. We were seated for no more than 10 minutes when our food came out, piping hot and perfect. The food is simple and inexpensive but well done. I would recommend this place to the average joe for its friendliness, speed, and tasty eats.
