In the heart of Bronzeville sits Jokes and Notes -- a comedy/jazz club that features some of the nation's top comedy talents. Relax in the state-of-the-art soundstage or catch all the action from the bar on one of the TV monitors. The weekends are all about the South Side club's namesake: Fridays and Saturdays are stand-up comedy nights and Sundays are live jazz. The club also hosts a Wild Card Open Mic Night on Wednesdays and an eclectic talent night on Thursdays, including spoken word, comedy and singing.
