My wife and I went for dinner for our 3 yr the filet mignon was the best I ever had ever. The service was great they treated us very well. I want to go back already am thinking of making plans. If you have not yet gone go trust me a great place for anything a date or just to enjoy a night out with the wife trust me you will love it.

i have eatwen before and it was pretty good. the last time we went was a great disappointment. the place was empty, we had reservations, and we still had to wait 20 minutes. the waiter we had was nice, but not at all knowledgable when asked the difference between the different cuts of meat, recommendations, etc. this place is way overpriced for what it is. go to a real streak house in chicago w/ knowledgable staff for the same price, much better food and service at several other restaurants!! greatly disappointed.

The filet mignon was out of this world, excellent dessert as well. Absolutely fantastic service - completely accommodating of separate schedules within our party of 4 (one individual on a tighter timeline, another who arrives late). Our server (Anthony) was 100% attentive and efficient. Had heard raves about Ruth's Chris from a co-worker, all true.

I am a regular at Ruth's Chris and I have to say it is by FAR the absolute BEST steakhouse in the city of Chicago. The staff is incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is awesome, the food is to DIE for (their chocolate mousse cheesecake is the BEST), and service is impecible! If you're looking for a great dinner, in a nice setting (great jazz-type music playing in the background), dimmed lights...this is your place!!!

Excellent! The Food is so good it melts in your Mouth. The People are Very Nice. I was there one time and Another waiter came by and filled my glass up again with Soda and it was Half Full. Now that is Service if you ask me. We had a Waiter his name was Brian And he Anticipated what we needed throughout the whole meal. I love this place and I would reccomend this place to anybody. But Watch Out they are a Little Pricey. I feel in love with this place and I will be going back again soon. I have been about 4 or 5 times and it is worth it.

My boyfriend and I made reservations and we were seated in a booth near the kitchen. I was unhappy with the location and noticed an empty booth in a quieter area and requested that table. However I was told by the managers, Casey Owen & Jeff, that it was reserved for a customer who is a "regular" and that we could not sit there even though the other customer was not there. Jeff proceeded to tell me that, "some customers get treated better than others" because they were regulars and that I should just accept that because "that's the restaurant business". I understand another customer reserving a specific table but I was appalled that Jeff would actually tell me that he did not treat all of his customers with the same level of service and respect! Also, I live in Gurnee which is about 70 miles from Chicago and to travel that far for such horrible service was truly a disappointment.

My boyfriend and I recently had one of the best meals ever. We both had ribeyes which were the most tender and delicious steaks we've ever had acompanied with a sweet potatoe casserole that no southern grandmother could match. I wish I could remeber the server's name because he was absolutely amazing. He ran out to buy a root beer for a little girl that was at the table next to us- I thought that was really sweet. We can't wait to go back for my birthday next month.

After 35 min of waiting with reservation, I decided to ask how much longer my wait would be? The hostess had 2 menus ready with a ticket with my name and said, "It's ready". I said I whished they would have told me since I had been waiting their answer was "well your reservation was for 7:30". Their pork chops with caramelized apples are not in the menu anymore. It all felt so different than my past visits I was told there is a new chef and management the meat quality is not the same of what I've had before and even the taste was very different. My last experience at Ruth's Chris was not good. The service from the hostess was very bad, and both main entrees were bad as well. I've had much better steak at "Texas de Brazil" and for much less with exceptional service. Ruth's Chris is no longer what it use to be, I don't recommend it.
