This steakhouse chain got its start in Newport Beach, California in 1998; this is the 39th outpost. Fleming's features the usual masculine steakhouse decor with plenty of wood and leather, but they soften it up a bit with hand-blown stemware and china. The menu offers classic cuts (rib-eye and NY strip steak), plus signature items like the "beef Flemington," their spin on beef Wellington. Other options include veal, lamb, pork and chicken. Seafood includes crab legs and lobster tail. Sides like potatoes with cream, jalapenos and Cheddar cheese are served family-style. There are 100 wines offered by-the-glass, as well as tasting flights, plus a lengthy reserve list.
