Awful experience

I wish I was writing about my experience inside Vines of Clark, but we decided to go elsewhere before even setting foot in the door, and I think you'll know why shortly.
About 3 weeks in advance, we had set up a party on their rooftop area for 25 people on a saturday afternoon. It was raining on and off during the early afternoon, but the rain stopped around 1:30, the sun came out and they opened the rooftop more than an hour in advance of our party. What they neglected to do was reserve the space for the party we had originally set up 3 weeks ago!
The bouncer was rude and unhelpful in informing us of this, so we spoke to the manager. I politely said that basically, you have neglected a party of 25 people who set up a party 3 weeks in advance, who are going to drink here for 3+ hours, and you're not going to accommodate us?! He confirmed this, and said they refuse to block off the area for us now because they are too busy. The final insult was that they wouldn't even let us in to their main area right away, they were going to make us wait at the end of the line to get in.
Poor response, poor management. Needless to say, I would not recommend giving your business to a place that handles a 3-week reservation in this manner. We went over to a neighboring bar and a had a wonderful time not giving a thousand dollar tab's worth of business to Vines.

I love this place for something to make Mondays better. The food is great and the specials are unbeatable... 1/2 price everything! I suggest the Toasted Ravioli or the Flat Breads. Amazing!

I was at Vines on Clark for one of the Tailgate Parties and had a great time! The Burgers were delicious and our Waitress kept us hydrated. I will be returning soon for our Saturday's of College Football and Drinks!

I had a terrible experience at Vines. If you expect, on a night out, to be treated pleasantly by the wait staff, don't go here. The service was terrible and, when we asked for another server, the manager asked us to leave. Unreal

Andrea was our waitress. She was awesome! It's been a long, long, time since we have had such a great experience while out. She also helped me sneak a dessert to the anniversary couple. Thank you for being great at what you do!

The worst!

The first time I went here the food was so bad I swore I would not return. Everthing that was brought to our table was dried out microwavable garbage that we could not even begin to eat. The server and manager seemed so unaffected by our observation that they wer almost expecting to have to take it off of the bill. The server actually told me "This happens alot with our food, but people come here mostly to drink."

So on that note we took a chance on just drinking. They were running a special on all sparkling wine, but it turns out that it didn't apply to the one I wanted. When I asked the server why she said "It's because we don't have any up here." (As we were sitting on the roof.) When the manager came over upon my request finally said that he would have our first round brought up from downstairs, but if we wanted more we would have to order it from the downstairs bar. Isn't that what the girl that never came back to my table supposed to be doing? This is the same girl that confronted me on my poor tip as I was leaving.

Trust me this is the worst place in Chicago.

Had drinks here before the game last Friday and had a great time. They have the best sangria, what a perfect thing to have while sitting outside in the warm Chicago weather! You have to go anytime, their patio is huge and I highly recommend the SANGRIA!

Vines is definately the new place to be in wrigley!!!They have such an amazing outdoor patio area, its huge as well as a rooftop deck, so there's plenty of room for sitting outside and soaking up the sun. The best part though is the food, its delicious compared to the other restaurants and bars in the area!!!And the daily specials cannot be beat. This is my new favourite hangout with my girls!!And the service is always great!!!You have to all go check it out!!!

I was at Vines on Clark this week and I was so impressed with the whole experience. Our server was great and the food was wonderful. The stuffed chicken was fabulous, and the spicy pizza was a perfect appetizer for our group. They have a good thing going on there. It's refreshing to be able to have a good meal with a nice atmosphere in Wrigleyville. I will definitly be back.
