A crew of New York-based nightlife entrepreneurs have set their sights on Chicago, reviving the old Varsity Club/Barleycorn space on Clybourn into this Irish-inspired sports bar. Expect a dark wood and brass-laden interior with communal tables for dining on the main floor, plus a more loungey space downstairs equipped with a faux fireplace. The food menu sticks to sports bar traditions like wings and burgers, plus Irish-inspired eats such as shepherd's pie. In addition to a dozen beers on tap, check out the old-timey drink list outfitted with manhattans, martinis and champagne cocktails.
