This swanky lounge is heavy on the pink neon and blue velvet. Two full-length bars lining both sides of a narrow, low-ceilinged, fully-carpeted room and sharply dressed patrons relax on royal blue leather barstools with wraparound backs and silver buttons along the seams. Though a neighborhood bar, Reese's prides itself on attracting a classy clientele. A narrow hallway leads to a back room with tables, a large TV and a dance floor. A live DJ spins tunes Wednesday though Sunday beginning around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night hears "old school" music, Thursday night pleases the stepping crowd, and Sundays are all jazz. A variety of music is played on Saturday night, though never anything you can't groove to. Reese's small kitchen serves up typical South Side fare – wings, fried catfish, turkey burgers and steak burgers, all for around $5. The burgers come with the works and everything comes with a basket of fries and barbeque sauce.
