When a rough day has gotten the better of them, some South Siders turn to the New Attitude Restaurant and Lounge for a change of disposition. The sidestreetstreet doorway opens into two large rooms separated down the middle by a bar. The rooms are dim and the walls are black, but festive lighting hangs all around – icicle lights from the bar, colored bulbs in the fixtures, golden streamers strung from the ceiling. TVs showing the latest sporting event dot the walls and a raised dance floor sees constant action. Dart boards and a pool table add to the kicked back atmosphere. A casual storefront restaurant is attached to the bar and serves wings, burgers, catfish and the like to hungry patrons.
