This restaurant opened on North Lincoln Avenue a few years back, but the awning outside Jury's says "established in 1979." The partners, Dan Borchers and Peter Borkman, opened The Jury Room in Lincoln Park across from the Biograph Theatre, but closed due to high rent in 1994. With this latest incarnation, they aim to do business as they always have. "We're a classy neighborhood bar and grill," says Borchers. The crowd is local and familiar like many Chicago bars, but Borchers and Borkman give the tavern an upscale spin with white linen tablecloths. The menu including soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees, with a focus on steaks and seafood.
