Grace O'Malley's Restaurant-Pub: User Reviews
Then this is the spot for you. The dinner starts out not with bread and butter, but plastic-wrapped crackers and a hard ball of slightly seasoned Cheez Whiz. The Guinness Cheddar soup was a sickly color corresponding to the taste, the Guinness Pulled Pork Sandwich was salty to the umpteenth degree and served on a stale flavorless pretzel roll, the Smithwick's battered fish were the cod equivalent of bad corndogs, soggy and oddly sausage-shaped (and what is the deal with "modern" Irish pub dishes requiring beer in their names?) and, to top it all off, or bottom it all out, the fries were mostly fried batter with no potato inside, and the "honey curry" sauce tasted like McDonald's packets of un-honey with cardamon and cinnamon careless added. The decor was tacky and inconsistent (Country Kitchen-ish knickknacks on small wooden shelves bookending a brand new flat screen TV), and it was all overpriced. I must say, though, that the service was pleasant and prompt. But won't be heading back.

Stopped in to Grab a bite before the Mayer concert and was a pleasantly surprised. I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was great, fries were fresh and hot and they had a good selection of beers on tap. I will make it a destination one of these next few weekends to see how the night crowd is.
Report This ReviewWent in for lunch, it was great. Kind of hard to find because of construction but if you see it definetly go in. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and the garden salad, both were excellent. Definetly worth looking for.
Report This ReviewCute Place...soooo much fun and GREAT food. I was really impressed with the friendly waitstaff and the whole experience all-around. I'll be back for sure!
Report This ReviewI'm surprised to see so many positive reviews....I went with a group of around 10 people and everyone ordered different dishes yet no one was impressed. Fish and chips had very little flavor, the burger/bun was extremely salty, and the salad had far too much cheese/dressing....
we're normally a pretty easy group to please so I was quite surprised by this place.
Report This ReviewAte here for the first time and the food was Excellent!!! Had the Guinness BBQ ribs and they were fantastic. Very accomodating to children, but still had a great selection for me and my wife. The bar area looked like a lot of fun, we will definetly be back to check it out this weekend!
Report This ReviewHonestly, the best burger I have ever had in my life. Got the peppercorn ranch burger and it was amazing. We'll be back for sure!
Report This ReviewYou can always count on this place for a solid food/drinks/service. I go here all the time with friends since we live nearby. Best Pubs Chips ever.
Report This ReviewAn excellent place to go--especially after a Bears game. Although the bar can be crowded and stuffy before the game, the party I was with easily found restaurant seating afer the game. Great service, great food. I'm coming back!
Report This ReviewGreat restaurant/bar combo! Food's good, service is even better. The mixed drinks are a little strong, but that's ok with me.
