The Store

Neighborhood: Sheffield/De Paul
2002 N. Halsted St.

Chicago, IL 60614

The king of North Halsted's late night/early morning scene, The Store is also a solid little sports bar. Many folks know it only as the place to hit after the 3 a.m. bars in Lincoln Park have closed, but loyal regulars appreciate the game-friendly sightlines to the TVs, the popcorn and the reasonable drink prices (at least for the neighborhood). A back party room is in nearly constant use for office outings and bachelor bashes. The narrow front room can get crowded late at night, so don't come after 3 a.m. looking for a low-key space. By that time, the lubricated crowd is running at full tilt. For grub, trot down to Armitage and Burling and fuel up on Doggy Diner cheese fries.
