D.O.C. Wine Bar & Bistro

Although the name refers to the European wine designation, it also happens to be the initials for Dunlays on Clark, the spot's founding company. Unlike the Lincoln Park original, this outpost will serve lunch daily. With such an extensive selection of wine--310 by the bottle, 32 by the glass and half a dozen flights changing monthly--the place is bound to attracts some suburban wine snobs, but the staff's emphasis here on unpretentious education and enjoyment for all. Expect a menu of plentiful meats and cheeses, appetizers and small plates fit for sharing and Neopolitan-style pizza, plus six or so entrees on daily feature. The city of Lombard even tweaked their zoning laws so that D.O.C. can sell each of its bottles retail as well.
