The first thing anyone notices when entering the Saloon, other than the huge, old-fashioned bar in the center of the room, are the walls, which are covered from floor to ceiling with beautiful knotty pine panels. The Saloon, also known as Stan's Bar, "is well known on weekends by the Navy boys from the base up in Glenview,'' according to the bar's manager. The bar has a pool table and a few electronic games. Everybody knows everybody and new people are always welcome here.
