If you are going to a place like this, then you know just about what to expect.

The food was above average, and the waitresses were WAY above average.
The prices were very reasonable and the service was great.

And yeah they had a lot of TVs but the sports weren't nearly as interesting as the girls.

Pretty good actually

This place was pretty good actually. I wasn't expecting much as I can kinda be a restaurant snob...food was better than I expected and the server we had made it enjoyable. I would go back, even though it's not really my cup of tea.

The food is good, they have a great variety of burgers and sandwiches, pizza's, and really good bar food. The view is good! and the service is good. it is very spacious, tons of T.V always playing sports. Dart boards and pool tables as well

Bad Food

I didn't expect much - I mean, bar food is bar food... but this was BAD bar food. The burgers were charred even though we asked for them done medium. The guac was not fresh avocado, but probably out of a can. The only positive was the chips they brought us before our meal.

Cheap food, good drinks, better scenery

Would it be wrong to say that The Tilted Kilt in Downtown Chicago is a classy version of Hooters? Well maybe that’s not true because there is much more exposed skin, after all, their kilts are tilted ;). They had good food (not great) which was priced extremely fair for Downtown, average meal price was $8-10 with barely anything over $11. Service was as good as should be expected from this kind of place. Honestly no one goes there for the service. As far as looks go, it seems like our table got the short end of the stick but there was plenty of other good scenery. Interior is new and mimics a John Barleycorn, the setting was very noisy and not very conversation friendly. With a lunch bill under 15 dollars I was completely satisfied.

Great Ambiance & Service with a Smile

Went to the Tilted Kilt for the first time today with a bunch of co-workers and we were not disappointed. The "ambiance" of the bar was top-notch and all of the staff was very courteous and prompt. The complimentary chips/salsa, tasty buffalo chicken wrap, and abundance of sports-tuned TV's were also a plus.

Poor Service
By Illini95 from South Loop, June 4, 2009

This place had the worst service I have ever experienced. One member of our party ordered a bottle of beer at 7:00 PM and it was delivered at 7:48 PM, which was 20 minutes after the general manager was at our table and listened to our complaints. Every round of drinks and even the food was delivered at different times, some items from and order showing up 10 to 15 minutes after items ordered at the same time. My friends were done with their meals when my food was delivered (we all ordered at the same time). When the bill came, it had drinks we did not order and our waitress informed us that the manager would not change the bill and that she would have to pay for them. It seemed like she was trying to 'guilt' us in to paying for it.

I know they just opened and have may have some growing pains but based on the overall experience, I would not go back.

Went in today for a late lunch just to check the place out, ended up getting a few friends over, long story short we stayed well into the Hawks game. They have dozens of flat screens so watching the game really anywhere is possible which we loved!! The food is the normal bar fare wings, burgers, nachos, etc.. however I found it to be a few grades above the norm. Their draft beer selection was pretty impressive. Our bartender Bernadette suggested we try the house Lager which was a nice change of pace from the normal Chicago Offerings. She was just wonderful, had us laughing and very attentive. Her counter part Tom was just as great, after she left which was nice becuase it seemed as though some of the male bartenders did have chips on their shoulders but overall, we had a great experience. Will def come back soon it was totally worth missing our trains for!!!

the novelty wears off quickly

The food was mediocre and heavy (think Bennigan's). The ambiance was what you'd expect (think TGI Friday's on steroids, with sensory overload from all the big screen tv's playing different channels). As for the main attraction, the tip is still 20% no matter how close the waitress's breasts come to my iced tea. This all begs the question, why? I guess if I have to ask, it's not for me. To each their own...
