My best friend and I would go here every week when we were 18 (it was cheap and something to do). It's quite and you don't have to feel embarrassed if you don't know how to play (no one is watching you). We only had to wait for a table once, but there's plenty of room for everyone and the crowd is mixed (18 - 80).
One thing I do miss is the cranberry/apple it was really good!
Good times and good memories, best place for 9 ball in the city!

Ive played in halls all over the midwest, and Ill tell ya this one is one of the tops. Great old style brunswick tables, centenial balls, and nothing but red circle cue balls, anyone that plays pool to a certain serious degree will enjoy this place, its large enough that you can be alone or find a game. 9 ballers, one pocket and billiards...good place to go and its cheap.

Great place to play some pool. Very spacious and comfortable atmosphere. Nice clientele¿no worry of someone getting violent if your cue ball flies off the pool table and stops at their foot. They'll pick it up and give it to you and maybe give you some pointers on how to fix that so emabarrasing problem that some people have. Chris's has a late 50's to early 70's look that doesn't keep you from imagining the history of this billiards and how much competition has gone in and out of the doors. Paying $7 dollars per hour to play pool at a shrine like this is a steal.
