I'm 56 and enjoy watching the kids have a good time. I've visited the Louisville and Chicago locations and had a great tine in each. Talented performers with witt and irreverent humor add to the fun. If your rear end is so tight you can't laugh, stay at home and watch MSNBC ,Get old .die young and I'll howl at the moon and drink one to your wake.

This place is great for all. We are in our mid 40's and we danced all night all over this place. There were lots of 20 somethings there but they mingled and danced right next to us and with us without problems. We sang & hollered & danced & drank & laughed all night long! Luckily our hotel was across the street and we danced & sang & hollered our way back to our room! I recommend this place for a great time!

With so many places in Chicago for original entertainment, why would you go some place that offers a hackneyed, played out variety show lacking anything original. Every time I've seen the dueling pianos bit it has been the same. Couple that with expensive drinks on top of a cover, this place offers no good reason to stop by.

Every time that I visit Chicago, I go to HOWL AT THE MOON! It never fails to be a good time!!!! The drinks are made with skill, the paino's are loud and the crowd is fun. By far the most fun on any weekend!!! When I lived there, there was always a line down the block on the weekends, but woth the wait!!! Very worth the wait. If you want to mix with a fun crowd and be entertained at the same time, this is the place to be!!!

I had written them an email prior to coming, & they told me I would get discounts for my birthday. When we got there, it was even better than I expected! My husband & I both got discounted drinks all night and we had an absolute blast!!

Don't expect to find the Fabulous Baker Boys or High-backed leather, supper-club-style booths here. This isn't a nightclub or lounge. What it is, though, is a good time if you're capable of letting your hair down and singing along. The crowd varies from the young to the old but is constant insofar as most of the people there are drinking heavily. For what it is, I loved it - loud, energetic, slightly honky-tonk but without the mullets. I had a blast. If you're looking for a lounge, go elsewhere. Otherwise, grab a drink and warm up the pipes.

The most awkward social scene I have ever experienced...a lot of drunk 30-50 somethings dancing and signing out of tune. The drinks are expensive and twice when I went to get a drink, the bar tenders were too busy dancing on top of the bar to serve me. I woud not recommend it.

If you can't get tickets to Second City, you can see the bad lounge act made famous by Murray and at Howl. The piano players, while banging out standards like "I'm a little teacup", "It's raining men", and college fight songs shill for money at every turn. When either of the them actually choose a song over a Cubs/Socks rule chant, you can be certain the song will die a horrible death. Don't count on the watered down drinks to blunt the screams of your favorite tune being butchered. If you're celebrating your 21st birthday, goto Howl. Otherwise, head to Red Head.

I went here with some out of town friends and had the best time. The music was awesome and interactive, the service was expedient and personable. We ordered some food and I expected the usual bar food, but it was fantastic! GREAT GREAT experience. I would recommend this place to anyone!
