Duke's Alehouse: User Reviews
Duke's Alehouse

I was sad to see the more traditional bar menu go when Duke's remodeled last year, but the new menu is just as good - just different. The quality of the food has been stepped up a notch, as has the variety. Now you can get seafood, flatbread pizzas, and even homemade mac n cheese. Though the new menu has much better quality food, the prices are still pretty reasonable. I thought at first that they were converting mostly to a restaurant, but it's still more of a bar - good place to go for drinks after work or to see live music on the weekend.

What Happened? Five years ago this place was the only worthwhile place to go in Crystal Lake. Now the food is mediocre at best and the servers seem indifferent to the customers needs. The quality of the bands has dropped off as well. At least the Thursday entertainment is still decent. Good luck guys, hope you find a better venue soon
