After just three weeks closed in September, Duke O'Briens has undergone a metamorphosis into Duke's Alehouse. Formerly offering standard Irish pub grub and Tex-Mex dishes, the new menu highlights organic products from local farmers. Popular dishes include a turkey breast sandwich on sun-dried tomato focaccia and pasture-raised chicken. The interior has overgone a serious overhaul with a new bar, wood floors, fresh flowers and tablecloths. Fans of booze and music won't be let down, with a doubled selection of beers for a total of 21 on draft and 50 to 60 overall. Thursday local jazz and acoustic acts will play while you eat, and Friday and Saturday feature acoustic rock from 8 p.m. to midnight.
