New owners and a new chef have done wonders for this neighborhood sports bar. It's comfortable for hanging out, has new tv's, tons of beer on tap, and keeps making improvements! ME LIKEY!

Friday happy hour no longer worth it

It amazes me how the economy has continued to slow down - and this place gets rid of the Friday special that they have had for the past 8 years. You used to go in and get a Harp, Bass, or Guiness for $2.50. Now, they want $4. What the heck? That is not even a special. Why even list it? Needless to say, I am no longer a Friday patron. But, all there prices have gone way up since the new ownership took over. Except for Thursday night dance part $1 bottles. Not bad, if you are looking for a club scene at a sports bar. Oh well, the good news is that there is another sports bar 2 blocks west that still believe in offering decent beer specials.

We ordered some take-out and were told it would take a half-hour. When I got there 35 minutes later, I still had to wait 15 more minutes. (For a wrap and chicken tenders!) When we actually got our food, it was NOT worth the wait. We will not be visiting this neighborhood bar again.

My friends and I love the Wild Goose! They have great specials and there is a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The manager is very friendly and remembers us when we come in - he appreciates loyal customers which you don't always see these days. Lots of TVs and good food too!

A nice place to hang and have a burger and beer in the North Center area. The old guy at the bar told me this was Lincoln Park. He gets 0 stars.

The service and food is always excellent. I was hooked my first time here, but now they just doubled their on-tap beer selection so the goose wil always be at the top of my list.
