This family-owned-and-operated Logan Square bar's slogan is "You are a stranger here but once," and it's that principle that has kept it going strong after 22 years. Cozy, friendly and unpretentious, it draws neighborhood regulars (whose pictures adorn the walls) and a growing number of 20- and 30-somethings looking for a place where everybody knows their names. There's a pretty good selection of reasonably priced bottled beers (but most patrons stick with Old Style or MGD) and a full bar. A small pool table and darts are available for the active types. But most people lounge out on the loveseat and listen to the eclectic mix of songs on the jukebox -- Dr. Dre to Tejano music to the Talking Heads -- or sit at the bar and watch the owners' beloved Bears and Cubs on the two television screens.
