We went to Weather-Mark a couple weeks ago based on a recommendation and had an overall great experience. When we walked in it was a little confusing on what to do, but we instinctively walked to the back of the place and grabbed a table and our server came over with menus promptly. My fiance ordered the philly steak sandwich and I had the burger. Food was great and my burger came out at medium as ordered which has been more difficult for alot of other places than you would think. We both got the steak fries, good but not great. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable about food and weekly deals that are great for those on a budget and well worth it based on what we ordered. Will definitely be back to try the wings and sweet potato fries as both look awesome at other tables.
Report This ReviewThis place is the shiz! They have a special on Mondays where you get a bacon cheezeburger, fries, and a draft beer or soda for six bucks. Not only is the burger special a great deal, but it seriously is one of the best burgers I've ever had. They also have pretty good wings, and the staff has always been really friendly. A must try fo sho.
Report This ReviewGreat before Sox and Bears games. Never as crowded as Grace or other places and better service. NIce Owner who has offered parking passes and other small favors before too. Just really an easy place to go beforehand.
Report This ReviewThis is a nice independently owned place (the owner Mark, or Marc, seems to be around all the times we've been) that adds wonderfully to the South Loop. Decent beers on tap and bottle (although more would always be welcomed), minimal wine mark-up, laid-back atmosphere with very good service, great food, and excellent appetizers, with a nice but small patio out front for the few months a year in Chicago that the weather permits outdoor drinking/dining.
Report This ReviewI love this place! The staff are super friendly and the food is good, although I do agree that it is a strange menu with complicated meals instead of the run of the mill bar food. However, the daily specials are quite good and we can't say more on how fantastic the staff and management are, especially during the football season when we go to the WeatherMark every chance we get!
Report This ReviewI don't understand why this place gets fantastic reviews. My girlfriend and I have been to this place on 3 occasions... once for drinks, once for a light dinner, and finally a brunch. So we definitely gave this place a few tries. I'm giving them 2 stars because their staff is very friendly and the bartenders know how to make a strong drink. They lose big points, however, on their food quality and decor. I'm not a boating fan, so I find their sailing theme a bit cheesy. I could look past that if the food was excellent. The less said about their complicated bar food the better. Let's just say they should watch Kitchen Nightmares to learn the KISS theory (keep it simple stupid). Your unique recipes are awkward renditions of classics. It just doesn't work. And lastly, what is up with the deep fried (crunchy and greasy) breakfast potatoes? I ordered home fries, not french fries.
Report This ReviewNice place with excellent food that is served late. Will be back again and again.
Report This ReviewThe place is delicious- what great food- and what amazing burnch! Always nice people in here- can't wait to go back!
Report This ReviewSeems like these guys have listened to the previous reviews and cleaned up any issues they had. Been there a few times now and can only say good things. Food is great. The Passport to Adventure (40 rums) is proving to be a challenge though!
Report This ReviewLet me say that this bar seemed to have a nice atmosphere. We went to watch the Bears game, however the only table available had been reserved for a group at 11:30 am but noone had shown up by 2pm so the owner gave our group the table. Immediately after ordering drinks, the group showed up and the owner told us we had to give up the table. We left the bar without having had a drink and with a bad taste in our mouths. Here is a tip, if the group does not show up within 15 minutes of having made the reservation, the group should loose the reservation. If the owner is willing to have two big empty tables for 2.5 hours, he is not going to be in business very long. 2.5 hours of lost revenue, ridiculous.
