Wabash Tap
- Neighborhood: South Loop
- 1233 S. Wabash Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60605
- 312-360-9488
- Price range: $ (Under $9)
Located in the heart of the South Loop, Wabash Tap is a strictly casual getaway for the post-work drink or three. Plus, it's the closest bar to Soldier Field and is close enough to Northerly Island to make it a great pre- or post-concert stop. A tongue-in-cheek "no ties" dress code makes this a place for some serious unwinding--expect good cheap beer, a lively urban crowd, and no-frills burgers and snack food. Brought to you by the folks behind the Chicago Firehouse and Grace O'Malley's, this is probably the one South Loop destination that's really serious about its sports viewing--there are eight HD TVs scattered around the space. The popcorn machine and Peanut Tuesdays (yes, throw the shells on the floor!) are great snack options while watching the score.
