Toons is always a great place to hang out and prides itself on their food. Don't forget about the ribs that are smoked on the premises. They are also the originator of the Southport Memoial Day weekend crawfish boil.

Friendly neighborhood bar, great place for relaxed eats.

Thanks to the smoking ban we are revisiting our favorite spots and Toons tops our list. They remember what you drink and are serve cocktails in tall glasses, and with a nice selection on tap and good prices this is a great bar for drinkers . But the food is what earns a top spot on our list. The jumbo wings and big burgers are great gameday classics; however, the rest is the best, all with cajun influence, gumbo, seafood and po-boys makes Toons a favorite dinner destination. Throw in annual parties including crawl fish boil, New Year's eve, and Mardi Gras celebration and you have the formula for a perfect hangout.

i went to Toons on a Tuesday night and i had a great time with my friends. There werent that many people there but there were free give aways and I won free beer and t-shirts. I had a good time and the best part about this bar is the location.

I've been going to Toons since it first opened, when Southport was still mostly body shops and the yuppies hadn't taken over. It continues to be one of my favorite pubs for food. Sadly, the tuna melt is no longer on the menu, but try the barbecued pork sandwich--you'll think you're in South Carolina! Friendly servers, great drinks--what's not to like? I LOVE Toons!

This is a great neighborhood bar! They really know how to treat their patrons....their regular menu is great and the crawfish boils and pig roasts rock! People are friendly and it is always nice to be there.

Always have a good time there. Nice staff and bartenders. Try the vodka soaked in pineapple shot, it's awsome.

I too just moved to the area. I went in for Sunday football yesterday and had a blast. It was rocking. The food was great and the bartenders were a blast. Everyone was having a great time.I've found my neighborhood joint!

Moving to the Lakeview area in August I realized the many bars to choose from, but Toons is the one that I keep returning to. The food is amazing, never had something I did not like. But the main reason I keep going back is the service. If you like the little neighborhood corner bar it's worth stopping in for a drink or some food.
