Stopped by for a drink before going to the Apollo Theatre...was so nice. Bartender was great. Came back for a sandwich after the theatre. Food was reasonably priced, service was great but the food was awesome. Would highly recommended!!

WE LOVE THIS BAR!
By Slick Nick from Wrigleyville, April 1, 2009

it was unlikely that my buddies and i would stop into a bar that was formerly Lucille's but when we walked by we looked in and were drawn by the GORGEOUS bartender and lite bartop. Ashley has always waited on us as we have become regular's of this bar. this girl is not only probably the best bartender I have ever seen but she is classy, sweet, attentive, alert and also FAST as hell. The ambiance is a nice touch. I have had some of the best shots and drinks here that I've had in a long time! We liked the fact that she didn't tip us off with attitude or act conceited like a lot of the girls in the area. This girl can make you anything, I mean ANYTHING! Not only is the service great but the bar is falling into place and i see the potential that this place has. i believe by summer, this will be one of the new hot spots of Lincoln Park! This went from a stop for one drink to check out how the "old" Lucille's changed to one of our favorite stops in Lincoln Park!

My date and I waited 35 minutes after ordering our entrees before the bartender told us they were sold out of the roast beef sandwhich, only to wait 40 more minutes to get our turkey clubs and cold salad? Worst off, they weren't even busy!!

Amazing Drinks!

Was there on Saturday evening and had a great time! Their martini menu has something for everyone...If your a chocolate lover, their chocolate martini served with chocolate covered strawberries is an excellent choice. Do not leave this place without trying their cucumber martini, it may not sound appealing but WOW, after your first sip you'll see what I am talking about. This will easily become one of the hot spots in the Lincoln Park area.

Stopped in at the OX on Saturday and we had a blast. Went out for a drink and stayed all night. The band DVS was playing and everyone was having a great time.. My first visit but not my last. Martini's looked great on the lite bar...

No longer a tapas bar -- don't go here for food.
By daveinchicago from Ravenswood, April 24, 2008

We had a gift certificate and so came here for dinner. The were listed as a tapas bar but the menu now consists of medicore appetizers, horrible "flatbread" pizza (which here means a thin crust and freezer-burned cheese), and items like pasta that they are apparently often "out of" or "not serving tonight." The tapas concept has been completely abandoned. The entire menu now fits onto one of those small plastic stands where you usually see drink specials listed (about 4"x6"). Our server was pleasant and apologetic at the minimal offerings and delivered the food quickly -- often too quickly. Our pizza came about 2 minutes after the salads came. The tomatoes on the salad were quite tasty. They were about the only tasty thing we had.

So, ignore all the comments about the yummy tapas. You can't get them here anymore. They have no interest in really feeding you. The food is clearly an afterthought.

The bar was very empty -- for awhile we were the only customers. There are two large screen TVs that were showing a white sox game and we were surprised there were not more sports fans in there. But, there are so many sports bars now with great food that we were no longer surprised by the end of the meal. I consoled my friend that if she hadn't used her gift certificate, the bar would be out of business before she had another chance.

In summary, while our server was very nice and tried to help us have a nice experience, the kitchen clearly wasn't quite so motivated to do so. I can't recommend this place for a meal. We didn't order alcoholic drinks so I can't speak to the quality of their beverages.

The Worst Service EVER!
By zib2 from River North, January 31, 2008

I have given Lucille's a couple of tries. Both times were terrible. The service is virtually nonexist. Waitresses chat on their cell phones, smoke outside, sit around looking vacant -- pretty much everything except take an order or bring you a drink. One waitress complained that we ordered too much stuff for her to write down and kept huffing about it. It was so ridiculous we couldn't even respond. Like a lot of the reviewers say, the food was great. However, the one and only good thing about the place is long gone. The chef has left -- I advise everyone else to do the same.

DO NOT GO HERE
By Adler1234 from Edgewater, November 6, 2007

Looked up Lucille's menu on their own posted website. It made it seem like a place that one would want to go for FOOD - their actual menu turned out to be NOTHING like what was posted on the website and when we walked in there were maybe 4 people sitting at random tables drinking a beer with the big screen TV's playing a show with the volume turned all the way up. It was the weirdest place I ever walked into. If they changed their menu and concept they need to make updates to their webpage!
