At this neighborhood bar and grill from the owners of High Dive, you can amuse yourself with pool, a pinball machine and a photo booth. If you want a hand-crafted cocktail, head down the street to The Whistler; here, it's all about beer. A rotating selection of 12 beers on tap might included Midwest microbrews such as Goose Island and Bells, while 50 by the bottle range from a $2.50 PBR to $12 Belgian imports. The stars of the appetizer-heavy food menu are a half-dozen French fry platter, topped with salsa, ranch dressing or done up Canadian-style with cheese and gravy. Sandwiches, burgers, wraps and taco platters will also do the job for casual lunches and dinners. A weekend brunch menu (to debut in fall 2009) promises funky eats along the lines of Snickers bar French toast or PBJ pancakes.
