NCAA Championship Monday Night April 7, 2008

This year my friends and I decided to watch the Big Game @ The Otter and it turned out to be an excellent choice because the food was great ( I had the delicious fish tacos), the visibility of the game was more than ample with Plasma TV's throughout The Otter and the service impeccable, both from the hustling waitress and the bartender Dave Agazzi. A really fine and spirited crowd was on hand throughout the entire evening. I was told the place was off the beaten track, as I live in Park Ridge but when I left The Otter, it was a quick cab ride to Clybourne where I hopped on The Metra, Harvard Line and I was back home in no time.

I am looking forward to returning again for The Grand Opening this Saturday April 12..

I went to a bar and restaurant broke out!

Went on a quiet Monday night prior to the "official" opening. The menu was amazing and the food even better! Philly cheese steak-filled wontons, Kailua pork spring rolls, amazing mac & cheese (with optional bacon) and some spicy BBQ pork sliders. Dave was the perfect host/bar tender. The space awaits a few more decorative touches and signage, but it is sure to be a favorite neighborhood destination for food and drink.

St patty's Day

Had a great time in this new local spot. The place was fun and the bartender was quite entertaining. Nice change from the other stuffy area bars. The food was excellent and the music was great. $3 Guinness and Smithick's as well as $3 corn beef sandwiches. A bus rolled up in the afternoon and the staff handled it great. They threw quite a party for only being open a week. Looking forward to their grand opening. I was told it would be around April 11th. Will definatly be back to check out the Friday "Roast Beef on Weck" special. Sounds YUMMY!!!!!

Cheesy....

Small place in a horrible location. Looks like they made the sign out back with some magic markers. What bar in Chicago is empty on the Sat. before St. Patrick's Day?!? Had one beer and left...what a disappointment. I was looking forward to another option in the neighborhood but was let down.

We thought it was still Fixture but were surprised to find out the food is still quite good. The pork spring rolls were awesome! I could have had 3 orders. Dave the owner was real friendly and the place looks great inside. The chowder was delicious and home made like the menu said. Pretty cool music as well. I will definatly be back soon!
